Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Supervisor/Foreman to oversee field operations and manage crews on various asphalt and construction projects. The right candidate will be responsible for ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and direct crews on site, ensuring productivity, safety, and quality.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors to ensure smooth job execution.
- Interpret blueprints, job specifications, and work orders to plan and schedule work.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce company safety policies.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and adherence to contract specifications.
- Operate and/or supervise the use of equipment.
- Track labor hours, materials, and equipment usage; complete daily reports and logs.
- Identify and solve job-site issues promptly to avoid delays and cost overruns.
- Train and mentor crew members to enhance skills and ensure performance standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required (technical training preferred).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in asphalt paving or construction, including 2+ years of supervisory experience.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and grade stakes.
- Strong understanding of paving and grading best practices.
- Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred).
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
